LUNETTE, an idealistic French Muslim high school exchange student in Missouri, hopes to build an interfaith coalition to dispel misconceptions about Muslims in the Midwest. As an unorthodox romantic relationship develops between Lunette and a shy Midwest boy, DOUGLAS, she becomes the target of xenophobic fury after rumors spread of vandalized churches. Her world turns upside when she discovers Douglas and her host parents are hiding a dark secret, putting her in danger.


     Seth Boggess (Writer/Director) is an award-winning film director, producer, composer and a published classical composer. He is co-founder of Dark Yard Films. He began composing music for theater and film at the age of sixteen before attending and graduating with honors from Berklee College of Music. He worked in the field of audio engineer in New York City where he contributed to such films as Intolerable Cruelty (Universal), Ladykillers (Touchstone Pictures), Kinsey (Fox Searchlight) and Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (New Line). He has scored numerous shorts including the Slamdance 2013 official selection Lollywood (Obrigado Productions), Tribeca and Chicago International 2013 official selection AB- (A Daniel Klein film), Yawn (Relentless Filmworks), feature films including The Gadarene Swine (I & Y Productions), and incidental music for various projects including the Lenny Kravitz video Let Love Rule (Justice Mix). His other film credits include production manager for the feature film Cartel War (Tumbleweed & Relentless Filmworks) and writer/director of the short film Left Alone (Dark Yard Films) based on the Anton Chekhov short story Misery. Seth's accolades include winning Best Short for Left Alone at the Beaufort International Film Festival, Gold Medal for Excellence in Original Music for Left Alone at the Park City Film Music Festival, Audience Choice Award for Left Alone at the Landlocked Film Festival, 2nd Place in the Short Film Category for Left Alone at the Landlocked Film Festival, the Audience Choice Award for Left Alone at the Route 66 Film Festival, and Left Alone also garnered 2 awards for lead actor Paul Noble at the NYC PictureStart Film Festival (Special Jury Award and Best Actor 2nd Runner Up). Seth is currently in development on several feature length projects including To Surrender, The Young Economist and Keith Huff's Pursued by Happiness.


     Natasha Warloe (Producer) has a theatre background that began at a very early age performing in Normal, Illinois. She went on to graduate from Tisch School of the Arts, New York University with her BFA in Acting, worked with Columbia University’s MFA directing program, and studied with the Moscow Art Theater School (MXAT) at the American Repertory Theatre, Harvard University. After many years as an actor in New York City and Boston, and over twenty years in executive level business positions, she is delighted to be at the artistic helm of Dark Yard Films. In 2010 she produced the awarding winning short film Left Alone with writer/director Seth Boggess. Left Alone was viewed around the world in twenty film festivals and invited screenings and garnered six festival awards including Best Short at the Beaufort International Film Festival, Audience Choice Awards at the Route 66 International Film Festival and Landlocked Film Festival (also receiving 2nd Place Best Short), a Special Jury Award to Paul Noble (Lead Actor) at the NYC Picture Start Film Festival and a Gold Medal for Excellence in Original Music for Composer Seth Boggess at the Park City Film Music Festival. Natasha is also mother to two wonderful children. As a producer, Natasha is now in development on her first feature film To Surrender with writer/director Seth Boggess.
